dr-waguespackR. Wayne Waguespack DVM, MS, DACVS, received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 from Tuskegee University SVM. After an internship at the University of Georgia, he completed his surgical residency at Auburn University CVM in 2002. He concurrently completed a Masters Degree with a focus on the role of inflammation cytokines in the prodromal period of equine laminitis. In 2003, Dr. Waguespack became a clinical instructor at Auburn University CVM while completing his board certification to become a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Since 2004, he has been on faculty at Louisiana State University SVM and Auburn University CVM. Dr. Waguespack is now refocusing his efforts in veterinary surgery by establishing Southeastern Veterinary Surgical Center. He looks forward to this opportunity and continuing to work with his colleagues in Georgia and East Alabama.
