Internal Medicine Consultation

Our internal medicine service is experienced in diagnosing and providing care to dogs and cats with complex medical conditions. This includes patients with conditions of the respiratory system, gastrointestinal system, pancreas, liver, urinary tract, blood and lymphatics, endocrine system, immune system, and infectious diseases.

Dogs and cats referred for medicine consultation often have a complex disease, multiple concurrent illnesses, or require specialized diagnostics. Our board-certified canine & feline specialist is experienced in the management of challenging cases and equipped with state-of-the art, advanced diagnostic equipment. We strive to maintain every patients best quality of life. 

During your pet's internal medicine consultation, we will discuss the health and medical concerns related to your pet. Our team will gather information about your pet's past medical history, current symptoms, current medications, and overall well-being during the consultation. This may involve asking about diet, exercise routine, vaccinations, and any relevant past medical issues.

Dr. Jean Waguespack will conduct a physical examination and may recommend diagnostic tests such as blood work and/or imaging. Once we have a clear picture of your pet's health, we will discuss treatment options and recommendations for ongoing care.
